This is a small lock n' lock located on the North side of Hwy. 24 heading West towards Florissant. It is a good spot to view the elk crossing CR42 heading North in the morning or evening hours certain times of the year. Nice pull off. Should be a quick hop up a short hill under a boulder next to the fence (which is private property). Contains a deck of cards, a TB and a log sheet and pencil.
Because the elk were here many years before us, if you see them crossing a road, please stop and let them pass when it is safe to do so. We so love our elk and willdlife in Teller County.
