山梨県庁別館は現在の庁舎に移転する以前の本庁舎です。
その重厚なフォルムは、正面から見ても平面においても「山」の字をかたどっています。
また県庁別館とそれにつながる県議会議事堂は2009年に山梨県の有形文化財の指定を受けました。

The Yamanashi Prefectural Government Annex was the main government building before it was moved to the present building.
Its massive form resembles the character for "mountain" both from the front and in plan.
In 2009, the prefectural government annex and the prefectural assembly building connected to it were designated as Tangible Cultural Properties of Yamanashi Prefecture.
The cache is located in a place where you can view the Prefectural Office Annex and Kofu Castle at the same time.
