Pokemon, like geocaching, engages a primal desire to hunt, collect and explore. This fun multi pays tribute to the original characters of the Pokemon cartoon that made it famous outside of its country of origin.
To find your first Pikachu, you will need to first catch a Pokemon with an advantage over the electric type Pikachu.
The first location contains a piece of infrastructure which is identified by a unique series of letters and numbers to help the power company solve any fault that may occur. The Pikachu you are hunting has caused a surge on this box. Use the numbers on the box to track the ground type you will need to overpower and catch the Pikachu.
The ID plate has the string MW+ABCDE
Replace "ABCDE" with the numbers and solve the pin below:
S = - 32 43.(A+C)(A+C+D)(A+C)
E = 151 52.(E-(A+C))(A)(D+C)
Â
At the second stage you will need to think like a rock type Pokemon to find your helpful friend. One of these is not like the other onesÂ
The final stage and location of the cache and Pikachu will be discovered at the coordinates below. You will need the answers to the following questions to complete the details.
F = the number painted on the stage two find.
G = Main character who is a Trainer in Pokemon's age (Ash K???????)
H = The year geocaching was started by Matt Stum
I = The year Pokemon was first released in Japan
The cache can be found at:
S = - 32 43.(F/4)(G/2)(H-I)
E = 151 52.(G/2)(G/2)(F)
Â
With all the information at hand, head to the final location of the cache, it should be a straight forward find. It may be a bit soggy under foot if there was recent wet weather so be prepared.Â
FTF Bonus:
After the great massacre of the Beedrill Pokemon in the Hunter Valley 2022, the region was left devoid of these most important pollinators. FTF will receive a sweet prize at a fourth location left behind by these most industrious creatures. Coordinates to the prize are in the cache for the first person to catch 'em all!Â
