While looking for a cache, the history around you often goes unnoticed. But the town of Beaver Creek is rich in historical places. In Beaver Creek, there are over twenty 18th and 19th century homesteads and farms, all within a mile of each other, and with 3 listed on the National Register of Historical Places. When you get to the cache, you will be near the heart of the Doub's Mill Historic District. Standing at GZ, you will be able to see Doub's Mill, dating to the 1810s, Shank Farm, dating to the 1790s, and Crickhollow Farm, also dating back to the 1790s. So while you're at the cache, please soak in the history around you. Not literally, unless you want to take a dip in the Beaver Creek ;) BYOP and please use stealth. There is a pull of on the east side of Cool Hollow Road which is where you should park. The intersection can be busy, but other than that there should be minimal muggle activity. Have fun!
