This collection of caches has nothing to do with the Church Micro series in the UK. Given that the Australian 2021 census indicates that No Religion and Jedi Knight are still the fastest increasing classifications of the optional religion question "What is the person's religion?" it is not surprising that there is surfeit of empty churches that have been repurposed.

St David's Anglican Surry Hills
Constructed in a Victorian Gothic style for the former St David's church in the 1880s. In 1925 the building hosted the Australian Aboriginal Progressive Association conference considered to be the first civil rights convention of Aboriginal people. The building was one of two locations where Channel 9's first TV broadcast took place on September 16, 1956. Bruce Gyngell now-famous words "Welcome to television" were broadcast from a small edit room in the Willoughby station basement then the broadcast cut back to St David's in Surry Hills, where the opening night extravaganza took place. Sold in 1991 it is currently an office and residence.
To find the cache complete the Wherigo cartridge found here (username and password is the same as you use on www.geocaching.com). With this information it is probably best to leave your car were it is parked and walk to the nearby cache location.
