高知市五台山にある竹林寺。四国八十八箇所霊場第三十一番札所。聖武天皇の命を受け、行基が日本中を探し唐の五台山に似たこの地に創建。文殊菩薩を本尊とする学問の寺でもあります。本堂が国の重要文化財、仏像１７体も重要文化財に指定されています。ペンを持参して下さい。
