The Meandering Sow #03 - The Three Little Piglets

Once upon a time there was an old mother pig who had three little piglets and not enough food to feed them. So when they were old enough, she sent them out into the world to seek their fortunes. The first little pig was lazy and built her house out of straw. When the Big Bad Wolf came by he barely had to huff and puff before he could blow her house down - then he just gobbled her up and left nothing - not even the squeal! The second little pig built her house out of sticks, but this was not very sturdy either. When the Big Bad Wolf came by he huffed and he puffed and he blew her house down too! Then he gobbled her up as well. But he was a greedy wolf and wanted more, so he went looking for the third little pig. Now, this piggy had worked hard and studied well, and got herself a modern apprenticeship at the local builders. She knew that straw and sticks were not good building materials. So she built her house out of bricks and mortar - with lovely patterns in the brickwork and even a water fountain in the front garden.

The Big Bad Wolf came by and saw this impressive establishment and decided to use trickery.
"Oh Little Piggy, Little Piggy, let me come in!", he called to her, followed by a wolf-whistle of course.

But The Third Little Pig had met wolves like this when working in the brickyard and knew what to say:
"Not by the hair on my chiny chin chin", she called back, knowing, of course, that she didn't have any hairs on her chin! Oh this made the Big Bad Wolf mad, so he called "Then I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house in!"
But he huffed, and he puffed, and he wheezed a bit, had a good cough and a sit down, and huffed again, and puffed again. But could not blow the well-built house in?  No, he could not!
"Oh piggy you have made me angry", he called. "I'm going to climb down your chimney now!"
"Oh you silly wolfy,", she called back. "I don't have a chimney! What you gonna do, climb in my externally-mounted heat pump? Slide in through my solar panels? Silly Wolfy!, she taunted him, while considering whether to dial 999.
Well, this made him even more angry - for a wolf to be out-foxed by a piggy! So he plugged the solar panels into the water fountain, hoping to electrocute the piggy. But the clever piggy used the solar panel inverter to electrocute the wolf instead! Clever piggy.
She now has a lovely wolf skin rug on her floor. I wonder where she got that...?
