Geocache Description:

Hoping this Geocache proves challenging even for veteran cachers! I used to have another Geocache here titled "Boat Ramp Blues #2," but the location was right out in the open and is likely the reason the container went missing on several occasions. I archived that cache and published this one as new so that previous finders can come back out for some fun. The general location has changed and should offer the ability to be more stealthy - and the container has changed to something that alllows me to include it in the Natchez Cachez series (see below)! Enjoy the hunt!!

Natchez Under-the-Hill was described by numerous nineteenth-century travelers as one of the rowdiest ports on the Mississippi River. Here docked the keelboats and the flatboats, and, beginning in 1811, the steamboats.

Taverns, gambling halls, and brothels lined the principal street. Here, rumor has it, the only thing cheaper than the body of a woman was the life of a man.

Natchez Cachez is a new series started with the purpose of bringing some more non-traditional Geocaches to the city of Natchez (no nanos, bison tubes, or ammo cans). Enjoy!

Congrats to Blue Canary on their FTF!
