Geocache Description:

Welcome to The Ethridge TB Garage!

This cache is available from dawn until dusk, please be respectful.

This hotel is located just outside of Walterboro, SC which is known as the front porch to the low country. We are a Jeep family here so thought it was only fitting to make this cache a bit of a trivia game. There are going to be 3 blanks in the history below, one of these blanks will be the correct combination to get the key. There are 2 small notebooks located inside, one is the log book for the cache and the other is a log book for the trackables. Please log all trackables so we can keep track if something gets lost and we can let the trackable owner know. We will check on the trackables regularly to see if anyone needs repairs before hitting the road again. Just send us a message if you can so we can get it fixed and back out. Onto the trivia…..

The first design for Jeep was started in Bantam, Pennsylvania with a design by Karl Probst. This first handmade prototype was completed on September 21, ____. The original design was done for the military but today you can find a Jeep pretty much around every corner. One of the most popular being the Jeep Wrangler. The first official Wrangler came out in _____ and was known as the YJ. These jeeps were manufactured in Canada at first until the Jeep manufacturing plant opened up in Ohio. The YJ is noticeably different from its ancestors as well as the newer models. It is the only Wrangler to have square headlights. The YJ was released at the same time as one of the more popular engines, the 4.0L. The Wrangler was originally offered only in 2 door until the release of the JK/JKU. The JK/JKU was the longest running generation to date and was available from 2006 to _____, before it was replaced by the JL/JLU.

Now that you have 3 combination options go around to the back of the cache to find the lock box. Open the plastic cover to reveal the buttons inside. Press the clear button(small latch on bottom marked with C) and enter your first guess and press down on the top latch. If incorrect, follow the steps again. Once open, you will have the key to open the front lock to give you access to the cache. Once done, relock the front lock and place the key back inside the lock box. To shut the lock box, reenter the correct code again and shut the door while holding the latch down.

This cache is located on our private property, if you see us outside just give us a wave!
