
SUMMARY: Brush Strokes is a British television sitcom, broadcast on BBC television from 1986 to 1991. Written by Esmonde and Larbey and set in south London, it depicted the (mostly) amorous adventures of a wisecracking house painter, Jacko (Karl Howman). There were 40 episodes spread over five series.
BOURNEMOUTH CONNECTION: The show was filmed at 3 Strouden Avenue, the house opposite Charminster Library. They filmed a football match on Redhill Common for one episode, and used the Carlton Hotel in another. Other locations used were Boscombe High Street, Strouden Road, and the stone masons on Wolverton Road, Boscombe.
