For those who don't work at Amazon, those in charge call us Amazions. Yes, I worked there for 5 years. It was an interesting place to work and I think it takes a special type of person to work there longer than a week or two. Lots of people come and go because it's not the easiest job in the world for sure. Amazon's slogan is "Work Hard, Have Fun, Make History," so that's what we do.
Since the Amazon facility is nearby, I thought this would be a good place to put a cache to acknowledge the dedicated workers who walk their feet off. I was a picker and walked anywhere from 10 to 12 miles on a 12-hour shift. Some probably thought I was nuts, but I liked it. I walked while you slept. My thought was, someone has to do it so why not me?
(The photo here, if you can see it, is my collection of peccy pins. We receive them for doing a good job (like picking 4,462 items without an error which is something I did recently) or if there is a campaign, or from a manager if we ask. We can also do trades with other employees to try to find some of the older ones. It's a whole world in itself. :-))
I do have permission to place this cache on this property. Sunday morning may not be the best day to go in search of the cache. Please be respectful of the property so we can continue to place caches here in the future.
