St. Brendan Parish was foundind in 1964. It was named after St. Brendan the Navigator. Sunday Mass was originally offered in the service department of Barrett Brothers Motors on Lorain Rd in North Olmsted. Parishioners set up "church" every weekend by moving over 100 cars on the lot and unloading tables and chairs from a semi trailer. Consstruction of a church/school complex soon began and opened in 1965. Groundbreaking for a new Church took place in 1985, cornerstone palced in 1986, and opened in 1987. Today, St Brendan Parish continues to be a vibrant, active, and welcoming community.
