Presented in 1959 Hermance became Bristol's first park just in time for that years Bristol Homcoming. Homecoming is now held accross the river at Congdon Park which bristol aquored in 1987. The park got it's name from Bud Hermance, a long time resident and one-time town marshall for Bristol. In 2008 this park held the US Canoe Association National Race. Located on the property is a small building, boat launch and plenty of space for fishing.
