Geocache Description:


 

This cache is part of a series of caches which are placed at or near village halls and community centres. For details and statistics visit the Village Hall Series website Click here

 

 

 



The building was opened by Alderman Woodhouse, the Mayor of Leeds and a native of Stainland, on the 7th June 1884. The Upper Hall was used for lectures and the rooms downstairs were for reading and one for billiards. In 1930, the Upper Hall was used for whist drives and dances.
This is a short and simple multi cache, placed a short distance away from the centre.
The cache can be found at N 053 39.ABC W 001 52.DEF
A=Number of square windows on the front left windows plus one.
B=Number of letters in the 2rd word on the "Sowood(Blank)Centre" sign.
C= 1st number on the bus stop number plus the 4th number. (Bus stop straight outside the centre).
D= Number of windows on the front left window. (Just the normal windows not the irregular cross window).
E=Number of triangular roofs at the front plus five.
F= Number of open poppies plus one. (On the poppy trail plaque).
