The new trail at Shark Reef Preserve offers a new, longer boardwalk for those wet winter months AND a loop option out near the water. This geocache takes advantage of the new, southerly loop.
Our grandparents live nearby and we come down to this park all the time, mostly to play in the tidepools and through rocks into the water. The beach isn't sandy, but you will find a lot of fun little creatures if you are adventurous. The seals often love to come watch what you are doing. On a clear day, the views to the Olympics are amazing.
You won't need to step far from the trail. Bring your own pencil.
