Northumbrian Water are the water suppliers for most of the north-east, except for Hartlepool. They supply water and sewerage services for 2.7 million people. To assist them in this, they have numerous reservoirs, throughout the region, including Kielder, the largest artificial reservoir in the UK, which can hold 44 billion gallons of water. The whole network of Northumbrian water is linked with pipes running between the three main rivers and reservoirs.
