This cache is found at Mercer Arboretem, the park on the West side of Aldine Westfield . The hours are Dawn to Dusk, 7 days a week but is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Day. Dogs are welcome in this part of the park.
Pictured here are Eastern Bluebirds. The male is on the left and is the bluer of the two. I took both of these pictures from my kitched window. They are found in open woodlands, farmlands and orchards and nest in tree holes, posts and in boxes. They eat mostly insects, wild fruit and berries but have been observed capturing and eating shrews, small snakes, lizards and tree frogs. There are many in this area and if you'd like to put a box on your fence, please go to the website for the North American Bluebird Society for nest box recommendations. One fence picket will make one box if you plan it correctly. http://www.nabluebirdsociety.org
Cache will be eye level.
