For a while now I've been toying with the idea of trying to start a PNW geocaching hiking group. My idea was to have a once monthly event at a trailhead or nearby location, then after the event anyone interested in also doing a hike (ideally for geocaches) could do so as a group or at least with like-minded hikers on the same trail. I don't want to be the only geocacher hosting these events or selecting the hikes, so am hoping other will feel free to jump in to host future events.
event location: Highpoint Trailhead (near the trail map signage at the trailhead), RAIN OR SHINE
** A Discover Pass is required to park at this location. I've added a reference point for free parking for those without a pass and/or not interested in purchasing one.
event time: 10am - 10:30am
After this event, I plan to hike some of the trails west of the parking lot and welcome anyone interested to join me. Just to be clear, anyone is welcome to attend the event and it will take place at the posted location. The hiking AFTER the event is not part of the event itself.
