Welcome to episode eleven of our Essential Eighties series. This time around, we're highlighting yet another Rob Reiner film - "Stand by Me". The movie was released in 1986 and featured an incredible array of talent - Will Wheaton, River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, and Jerry O'Connell starred as four young friends who set off on an adventure to find the body of a young boy who died on the outskirts of town. Kiefer Sutherland also stars in this movie in a fairly menacing role and Richard Dreyfuss plays the grown-up Gordie. It's based on the Stephen King novella "The Body" and has some very heart-warming scenes as well as lots of swearing, pre-teen smoking, insults, barfing, and a particularly unnerving scene with leeches. Our hide takes its inspiration from one of the scariest scenes in the movie... "TRAIN!!!!!!!"
This is a bit of a trickier hide, do be stealthy and replace as found. Byop.
A very belated congrats to Annie and Steve for ftf! 😺
