🌟 Please come along to a fun day with the "Fun-gi" at Armour Bay in the Waitakerie ranges, on Waitangi Day which is Monday 6th February 2023. I shall be there a good while before the start time of 10am, and you're welcome to join me if you wish. Plenty of parking down by the beach and plenty above the beach and a short walk down the hill to GZ.Â
🌟 Coincidentally, high tide is at 12:14pm according to Metservice.com, a 4.0m high tide at lunchtime, how cool is that timing!
🌟 I will bring along BBQ stuff including the gas cooker, tables, chairs (about 6 or 7 I have) etc, you know... the usual stuff one needs to make a complete day and some sausages, potatoe salad, perhaps this time even some steak! The Gorby cafe will be up and running as per usual. There are toilets right by GZ and even a fixed BBQ that is free to use (as long as it's available and not being used already).Â
🌟 If you could bring along extra seats for yourselves, that would be good and whatever else you might desire.... wine, beer, food you might want to have cooked etc, cold drinks, certainly a hat in case it gets really hot. There is a large tree at GZ and will be welcome shelter in the hot sun.Â
🌟 I will also bring along my kayak in my van, maybe 3 if I borrow rusty's and Rebel's, I'm sure there will be some of you who haven't tried kayaking before, no caches to go and get.... and even if you have tried kayaking before come and have a paddle just for the sake of it!
🌟 There will also be some games organised so I am told by Rebel98 and rustynz. There will be a gumboot throwing competition, a spoon and cache running competition and maybe more! I will think about a few more I have in mind and you will find out what on the day.
🌟 There is a walk along the end of the beach and supernanny has a very recent cache there slightly up the hill.Â
🌟 If the day is raining and too bad to have the event, then I will postpone it to the following Saturday the 11th.
