I had so much fun putting together hides 1-10 on Narellan Road, I decided that I should extend the series so that everyone could get out on their bikes and enjoy some fresh air and a few caches along the way! All caches are small with no room for anything other than the log and all require BYOP.
This trail is somewhat longer than 1-10, and some are a little further apart as well. But they are all placed on very busy roads, but on bike paths, which also requires some side streets to be crossed. It is a circuit though, and is about 15k in total and takes in Narellan, Harrington Park and Oran Park, and there is an opportunity for a coffee break a little over half way if you so desire!
In this hide, I was thinking this would be a good place to start the series, unless of course you’re crazy enough to do the whole series from No 1!
Narellan itself was coined somewhat by William Hovell (of Hume and Hovell fame), after he named the area informally in 1816 “Narelling” being part of his land grant, but the township of Narellan was not recognised until 1827. The shopping centre precinct was initially opened in 1995 with the next extension completed in 2015. Camden Valley Way, in this first section of the circuit, is an extremely busy road, so please be careful and stealthy!
So get on your bike, and avoid the traffic, and enjoy the fresh (ish) air.
