This cache is another in the Song Titles series which cachingcronies started in 2017. Mountain View, Arkansas, is known as the "Folk Music Capital of the World". There truly is a wealth of musical talent to be found in this area. From the Ozark Folk Center to the "Pickin' and Grinnin'" on the courthouse square, singers and musicians of all ages sing/play songs from many genres.
Hide Me, Rock of Ages was written by Brantley C. George who also composed the tune. It was copyrighted in 1946. George was a farmer of the Primitive Baptist Faith. The original composition was written on a brown paper bag with a pencil. Not being an educated man, George supposedly sold the rights to it for the measly sum of $25. It was first recorded by The Stamps Quartet in 1947.
The cache is a small camoed container that contains a log only. BYOP Please replace it exactly as you find it.
This small park is often used for a seasonal farmer's market as well as other events. I would suggest that you do not search for this when there are a lot of juggles nearby.
CONGRATULATIONS TO JAM6100 AND REESE486 FOR BEING FTF!
