Geocache Description:


Lowland acid grassland develops on land where the soil has a ph of between 4 and 5.5. It's an important nature habit for conservation in London - but there's only a limited number of sites remaining - including this tiny corner of Tooting Common.

Acid grasslands are home to numerous rare insects, plants and birds. You'll find pictures of eight species of plant, bird and invertebrate that you might see on your visit here:
