This is my first Cache ever to hide? I chose Dudley Woods Park "The William F. & Cora Dudley Memorial Park" as it has been my favorite place to enjoy the outdoors. The hiking trail runs along Gregory Creek then curves into the woods and brings you back to the start. The creek is where I come and hunt for fossils. They are in abundance here. This cache should be pretty easy in the fall and winter. You will go in the trees and brush. I added some tradable swag for those treasure lovers. Please trade something if you take something. Happy hunting!!
**Dudley Woods opened in 1999 on the corner of Hankins and LeSourdsville-West Chester Roads. The land was purchased at a reduced price from Jim Dudley with donations from Greg and Sue Amend. Primarily used for preserving nature with native wildlife hiking and family activities, this 63 acre park encompasses riparian habitat along Gregory Creek and maturing woods. A loop trail is an easy to moderate one mile hike following the creek to the back of the park, before turning and heading back through the woods. A picnic shelter, grills and restroom facilities are adjacent to the parking lot. Future plans include the development of a trail guide and other interpretive guides along the trail. The reconstruction and furnishing of the Gregory Log Cabin (circa late 1700s) will enable visitors to experience the early heritage of Liberty Township.
