Geocache Description:

SRS (Service Road Series)

AHH Yes the forever boring and uninteresting Service Road Series. Not only does the series not offer beautiful views and charming vistas, it will make your hip waders wish that you wore your chest waders. Cache containers vary in shapes and sizes. Some winter friendly some not. Some real easy, some may be head scratchers. Since this is a road series, I thought I would showcase cars. Not just any cars, but cars that I owned and drove. The odd puzzle would be cars that I would own depending on the size of the lottery win. Please enjoy, cache responsibly and above all, have fun.

The Ford LTD Crown Victoria is a line of full-size cars that was manufactured and marketed by Ford from the 1980 to 1991 model years. Deriving its name from the Ford Fairlane coupe of 1955–1956, the LTD Crown Victoria served as the flagship of the Ford LTD model range in North America. Serving as the Ford counterpart of the Mercury Grand Marquis, the model line was offered as a two-door and a four-door sedan and a five-door station wagon (including the wood grained LTD Country Squire).

For 1983, Ford revised its full-size and mid-size product ranges across all three of its divisions; the LTD Crown Victoria remained the sole full-size Ford sedan with the mid-size Granada taking on the LTD name. Following a minor update for the 1988 model year, the LTD Crown Victoria was discontinued after the 1991 model year, replaced by the redesigned Ford Crown Victoria (dropping the station wagon body style and retiring the LTD prefix).

The first car I bought and paid for. Yahoo, I'm starting to Adult. Yeah right. Use to run down the road at 40 mile per hour, jam the foot pedal emergency brake, cut the wheel to the 10 o'clock position then whip it back the other way. If you were watching, it looked and sounded really cool. It's a wonder I'm still here. This was the first car I owned that the headlight dimer switch was on the steering column. Nothing but foot switches prior to that

A real upgrade in cache # 4.........
