Geocache Description:

When we moved to Pleasant Hill we really wanted to have a backyard cache since our property backs up to a park.  Our first attempt to hide one was foiled by a mystery cache that was too close: GC17T8T (Do UR Math B4 U Play - Puzzle/Multi (Easy)).  It turned out that the signs needed to reveal the coordinates had changed so no one could find it anymore.  In time it was archived and we created GC1DA4W: Pleasant Oak Park Cache.  We were really proud of it.  We put a litte locked door in our fence and the cache was hidden behind it.

In 2009 our apple tree died.  It's branches hung way over the fence.  While we were cleaning up the old tree to prepare to plant another, we found a little film canister.  The film canister was GC17T8T (Do UR Math B4 U Play - Puzzle/Multi (Easy).  We got to finally log it afterall.

Unfortunately, "Pleasant Oak Park Cache" was way too tempting to vandalize.  We suspect the vandels were the siblings of baseball players left to their own devices while their parents watched a game.  It was always vandelized just after a new baseball season started.  When the entire park was leveled and all the personal fences were torn down in 2013 that was the end of the cache.  We couldn't simply re-enabled the cache because we could not put a door in the new fence.  The new fence is owned by the park.  By the time we came up with a strategy to replace it, a new cache had taken its place: GC5YJGA (Play Ball!).  Virgojams' cache suffered the same fate as mine.  It went missing 10 times in 8 years.  Man, he's persistent.

I ran into Virgojams at a recent event he was hosting.  I mentioned the cache since it was disabled again.  He graciously agreed to let "Play Ball!" go so we could implement our plan.  Tell us what you think of it.  Thanks.
