The McKee Memorial Reserve is an awesome camping spot on the edge of Tasman Bay. It's one of the few places where you can camp right beside the sea and be at one with it day and night. In fact on a really stormy night, I have a feeling you might be a bit TOO close.
The facilities are fairly basic but the fees are really inexpensive.
Do drive considerately and safely as there are often children including the road in their playing space.
This is a multicache, so there is no geocache at the published coordinates. The published coordinates will take you to a sign. The one on the left of the track is the one you want (it has 3 words and has no do’s or don’ts or warnings on it.)
On the sign call the letters L1, L2, L3 - - - L15.
Use the numerical values of the letters (A = 1, B = 2 etc) to determine where the cache is. Note, if you get a two digit number, simply use the last digit.
The cache is at S 41 12 . (L2 + L6) (L12) (L8 + L9)
E 173 05 . (L7 – L10) ( L11 + L14 ) (L1)
The digits you have calculated should add to 26.
Happy hunting
