Welcome to the first Fairfield County Park District GeoTrail 2023! We're excited to be joining the world of GeoCaching and invite you to enjoy visiting our Parks!
This cache is located on the grounds of the Park District Office. There is no need to go beyond the gated roadway past the parking area. Coyote Run is nearby, but is not related to this cache, and is a limited access natural area/nature preserve.
This cache is a part of the Fairfield County Park District’s GeoTrail 2023. There are 15 traditional caches and a bonus cache. Each cache box contains a story about the park in which it is hidden. Each story contains a CLUE WORD that you can use to complete the GeoTrail 2023 puzzle (See https://www.fairfieldcountyparks.org/geotrail/). Once you find all 15 caches, you can use the completed puzzle to determine coordinates to the Bonus Cache location. The bonus cache will contain some special prizes!!!
If you find at least 12 of the 15 caches, you are eligible to receive a special GeoTrail 2023 commemorative wooden coin. To submit your finds for review and award of the coin, please email your completed puzzle (scan or image) to explore@fairfieldcountyparks.org . After we verify your logs, we will contact you with details on how to obtain your coin.
