Geocache Description:

CocoClimber04 Hits Solid Gold // 1K Golden Ammo!

============================================================================================

The cache is not at the posted coords!  Intructions can be found below, but first, let's acknowledge Cococlimber's milestone!!

Warning!!  This cache requires you to go inside the building to find it.  Please check out the hours below to make sure the library is open before you make the trip over here!

============================================================================================

Congratulations to CocoClimber04 for finding over 1000 geocaches!  This tribute is long overdue, but I have poured over 30 hours of brainstorming, crafting, puzzling, writing, seeking permissions, and scouting to finally get this one out!  Despite hitting his 1000th cache over 6 months ago, he has yet to even log them all!  I've been friends (and neighbors) with Cococlimber04 for over a decade!  We share so many interests, and starting in late 2018, geocaching has been one of them.  I'd say in my 2400+ finds, around three quarters of them were found with him!

I've had many fond memories of the times we've cached together!  A few of my favorites, in no particular order are Eternal Flames Falls, the Ithaca Trip, Journey into Adirondacks, ASP 2022, the secret trip to PA to grabbed PA's oldest, the Clark Gully picnic, the kayak trip during multiple passing thunderstorms, rescuing the Abe Lincoln nightcache by brute force, Every International Earthcache day trips, Pi-Day2020 (COVID cancels school mid trip), and last but not least, the trip that started it all, Labor Day Macedon trip!  I've traveled all over the state with this kid, and even a bit out of state!  From amazing waterfalls, peaceful kayaking, casual biking, and long hikes to strenuous tree climbs, crawling in tight tunnels, walking barefoot on slippery gullies, and of course, a favorite of mine, finding ourselves dead center of a raging thunderstorm.  We've seen it all, yet there is so much more to experience.

I have hand picked my top 10 favorite caches found with you:

At the start of Summer vacation, Coco, garserio, and I discovered that we all could hit eachother's milestones simutanously with one cache.  It would require some dedication on all of our parts to make it happen though!  Cococlimber was in the postion where he needed to slow down his pace, while I was needed to be at a record high.  Unfortunately, our timing was off due to Cococlimber's Summer trip, and he ended up picking a cache while there to celebrate this stupendous achievement!  Perhaps you have heard of Golden Gate Bridge?  I don't think there's a more fitting cache!  Since then, Cococlimber has well surpassed 1K, but we are unsure how many finds he actually has, due to logging procrastinations!  If I had to guess, he is probably approaching 1,500!  Cheers to Cococlimber for this incredible milestone, and thank you for being such a great caching buddy!  Two thousand isn't far away by any means!

Introduction to the cache:

This is a library cache!  It will require you to go inside the building and solve a field puzzle.  Think you might be able to brute force the final in the library?  Well think wrong!  While the librarians might be familiar with this cache's placement, there is a lock preventing you from signing the log!  Don't worry though, the puzzle isn't hard at all, just takes a little bit of patience!!

*****

This cache is themed around something Cococlimber is very passionate about.  It is superior over geocaching for him, but the two hobbies go hand and hand together.  Cococlimber is very experienced in this field, and so am I a bit, since he has shared his hobby with me just as I shared my love for geocaching with him.  I'm unsure if the puzzle I made is "too" challenging.  After all, I do want it to be friendly enough in order for all cachers who visit the library.  The feedback from the first 20 or so finders is essential to make sure that the cache is fair enough.  If the puzzle proves to be too much work, I can very easily alterate the puzzle to make it more doable, and I have already decided what needs to be put in place if needs be.  I encourage you to message me for hints if you get stuck.  Now onto the Letterbox...

Letterbox Intructions:

To start this hunt, please head to the posted coordinates.  Here you must make a quick find which will tell you where inside the building you can find the library!  You are looking for a larger than normal bison tube in a bush.  When you enter the library, head directly up the stairs and climb to the top.  Upon reaching the top, turn left, and then left again immediately to face towards the North.  There will be some computers to the right.  Walk past the computers until you see some bookshelves.  These will be on the left, with some table and the windows to the right.  You will notice that there are rows of separated bookshelves.  With your back to the computers, the shelf you seek is the third one in.  Also take notice that each of the seven bookshelves are segmented, with another row running perpendicular to all seven shelves, essentially cutting each shelf in half.  Keep your focus to the segment which is closest to the windows (this is the smaller of the halves).  Look for the book labeled 'Official Geocache' with a yellow sticker.  Be sure to check both sides of this single shelf!!  Inside the cover of the book, you will find information to solve the puzzle, as well as the rest of the information to reach the final!  Good luck!!

Please make sure to leave the stamp and ink pad inside the cache!  These items are not for trade and are part of the game!
