This one is so-named because it is the road most vistors use when coming to us. The Council has decided, for reasons unknown to me, to put the welcoming sign in what appears to be the middle of no-where, with not a house in sight. I originally thought it was at the boundary of Holmpton Parish, (which would make some sense), but compare and contrast with the sign near Holmpton Number 9. In fact, however, a close look at the map shows that the boundary is a mile or so to the West.
The welcoming sign, wherever it is placed and however bad a condition it is in, does seem a nice spot to place a cache to welcome you here.
