I wanted to find a spot where I could place a cache dedicated to my life and geo partner jägersmum. She's a very special and interesting lady - a self confessed shopping afficionado and also a lover of nature, hiking and peak-bagging (and so much more). We've been on some amazing adventures in both the geocaching world and also life in general, and there are many many more to come.
So today, I was exploring this area and thought I would check out a side track off the Tongariro River Trail. What I discovered was a truly lovely spot on the side of the river perfect for a picnic. I thought, great place for a cache, but alas it was too close to another geocache on the other side of the river, so I had to go a bit further along the track to actually hide this cache - although it worked out ok, as I found a really secure spot for it a short distance away.
I'm sure you'll agree that this is a really nice spot to visit, and would be a perfect pozzie for a river-side picnic. It's certainly a place I will have to bring jägersmum in the future.
