This is a bit of a tribute to Punga, of Punga and Paua, who passed away in 2022, well before his time. He loved this area and particularly this river. He was a keen trout fisherman, and there is nothing like fresh trout from the Tongariro river, into the smoker, and onto our plates - yum!
So enjoy this area, as he often did - the peace and quiet, the ever present gurgle and splash of the river as it passes by here, not stopping for any of us. It will outlast us all.

You are looking for a small screw-top container, about 500ml. Hidden as per the cache title. Be careful with the cache and with young ones here. Make sure the container is securely back in its spot when you leave, so that it doesn't end up in the river itself. BYO pen.
