Koombana Bay is a stretch of beach just a couple of clicks away from Bunbury CBD in our state’s southwest, and is one of only a handful of places around the world where you can encounter dolphins in the wild.
Bunbury Timber Jetty is situated in Koombana Bay, at the end of a stone causeway. The stone causeway was built in 1967 and commences at the end of Henry Street. The stone causeway is aligned along a south-west to north-west axis, is about 30 metres wide, has a public bitumen road, and terminates at the Bunbury Timber Jetty. Near the end of the causeway is a large crane that straddles the bitumen road.
All in all a perfect spot for a couple of new caches. BYO pen, enjoy the views and if you are lucky you might see a dolphin or two.
