Located on Chatfield Trail in Cockaponset SF. Well maintained trails but has its ups and downs. Once high ground is reached, Long Island is visible through the trees to the south.
Parking is off Rt. 80 .1 mile west of Chatfield Hollow SP. For the more adventurous there is another less known and less used parking area at N 41*21.113 / W 072*35.794. The caves are sometimes a squeeze, but passable. No bushwhacking is necessary! For those with a Ct Walk Book there is a detailed map of the area. The cache is a full sized ammo can loaded with tools and useful items.
