We first met our good friends Liz and Bruce at the SA-Geocachers Summer BBQ Event on 1st December 2002, when we had accumulated a then huge 600 finds, and they had over 200 finds. They then lived in a lovely place in North Adelaide, well before they became Genuine Travel Bugs. Back then, Bruce was the source of those ubiquitous octopus buckets, widely used as cache containers in those early days. We have met up with them on many occasions since and often cached with them.
During our most recent visit to Maryborough, they were actually home and not overseas as was the case every oither time we passed by. We were able to see their home at RV Homebase, and to join the locals at a dinner. Liz and Bruce's hospitality is legendary
This cache has been placed to commemorate our visit, and to increase the number of caches in the Maryborough locality, so giving Liz and Bruce and other local geocachers more to find. Hope this encourages future visitors to do the same. Liz and Bruce are willing to be local maintainers.
