[LV] Aknīstes vai Radžupes velnala ir lielākā ala Sēlijā - tās dimensijas: 6 metri kopgarums; 1,3 metri augstums; 5 metri platums; ieejas augstums un platums ap 1 metru; alas platība ir 13 kvadrātmetri. Ala ir mākslīgi radīta - izlauzta iežu iegūšanai kaļķa cepļa vajadzībām. Lai arī nosaukums ietver klasisko velna pieminēšanu, taču šī nav sena kulta vieta - šāds nosaukums parādījies vien 2000. gadu sākumā.
Skatoties informāciju internetā - tā vien šķiet, ka šis ir ļoti populārs un visiem labi zināms tūrisma gala mērķis Sēlijā, vai vismaz Aknīstes pusē, par ko varētu liecināt daudzos avotos minētā informācija - bildes ar labiekārtotu pieeju, norādes un koordinātas. Diemžēl (vai par laimi) jāsaka, ka tā tas varētu būt 10 gadus atpakaļ, bet šobrīd tā pavisam noteikti nav. Nekur nav absolūti nevienas zīmes vai norādes uz objektu. Koordinātas mēdz variēt (dažas ir pat otrā krastā) un pat uzticamajos avotos tās ir nedaudz neprecīzas. Kā arī no bildēs redzamās smukās infrastruktūras vairs nav saglabājis itin nekas. Katrā ziņā, alas atrašana, man bija pamatīgs piedzīvojums un aizņēmu krietnu laiku. Ceru, ka ar pievienotajām norādēm, jums veiksies viss daudz vienkāršāk! :)
Kā atrast? Stāvvietas norādītājās koordinātās var atstāt automašīnu - piemērotos laika apstākļos ar piemērotu auto gar lauka malu var izbraukt arī līdz takas sākumam. Vismaz ne-vasaras periodā, tīri labi redzama taka, kura pa kraujas augšu ved gar Radžupīti alas virzienā. Kad kraujas augšā esam ieraudzījuši dižkoku, blakus ieraudzīsim ieslīpu, salīdzinoši lēzenāku celiņu lejup pa krauju - tās galā, pašā Radžupes krastā, atrodas arī pati ala. Slidenā laikā esam uzmanīgi pa stāvajām nogāzēm - ir piesiets striķis, lai vieglāk būtu uzkāpt/nokāpt. Veiksmīgu slēpņa meklēšanu!

The entrance height and width are approximately 1 meter, and the cave has an area of 13 square meters. The cave was artificially created by the extraction of rocks for the production of lime. Although the name includes a reference to the classic devil, it is not an ancient cult site and the name only appeared in the early 2000s.
Based on information found on the internet, it seems that this is a very popular and well-known tourist destination in Selija, or at least in the Akniste area. This is supported by many sources that show well-maintained access roads, signs, and coordinates. However, it must be noted that this may have been the case 10 years ago, but it is certainly not the case now. There are absolutely no signs or indications of the location of the cave. The coordinates can vary (some are even on the other side of the river) and even in reliable sources, they are slightly inaccurate. Additionally, the infrastructure seen in the photos no longer exists. In any case, finding the cave was a significant adventure that took a considerable amount of time. Hopefully, with the added directions, it will be much easier for you to find it!
To find the cave, you can leave your car at the coordinates indicated on the signpost. In suitable weather conditions, you can drive along the edge of the field to reach the beginning of the trail. At least during non-summer periods, the trail is quite visible and follows the edge of the stream towards the direction of the Radzupes cave. Once you reach a large tree, you will notice a relatively gentle path leading downhill along the edge of the stream - at the end of this path, on the Radžupes riverbank, you will find the cave. During slippery weather conditions, be careful of the steep slopes - there is a rope attached to help with climbing up and down. Good luck searching for the cache!
