This is an easy find placed near the St. Lucie Lock & Dam, which is one of five locks along the Okeechobee Waterway. When the sidewalk gate is open, you are able to walk across the lock and do some fishing on the other side, or just enjoy the view of the boats passing through. There is parking nearby at the small park that is maintained by the Corps of Engineers. There are also campgrounds on both sides of the lock along with a few boat docks near the boat ramp.
The cache is overlooking a retention pond, where you can sometimes spot a stray alligator. Happy hunting!
