10th ANNUAL!
The Cañon City Parks and Recreation District is conducting a cleanup on the Arkansas Riverwalk on Saturday, April 29, 2023. The Rec District has agreed to let the Geocaching community be a part of this effort. There will be non-cachers in attendance, and this will be a great opportunity to explain to them what our sport is all about.
Meet at the Cañon City Recreation District office, 575 Ash Street in Cañon City.
The Rec District is offering a free breakfast for participants from 8:00 am to 9:00 am. Following the breakfast there will be a brief orientation, and then cleanup will begin at 9:00 am. The Rec District will supply trash bags. Bring your own work gloves and wear appropriate clothing. Also bring sunscreen and insect repellent. And come hungry! Let's show the Rec District that we appreciate being able to cache along the Arkansas Riverwalk. I will reserve tables at the breakfast for geoachers so be sure and log your Will Attend so I know how much space to reserve.
There will be a drawing for a CITO geocoin, as well as some other trackables and geo-goodies. Everyone will win something!
