This geocache is located on the Basin Trail (aka "Hermit Trail") at Fort Fisher State Recreation Area. The trail is about 1.1 miles each way and leads to a lovely overlook platform from which you can see Zeke's Island. The trail is well maintained and can easily manage a dog stroller. Lots of history and shade make for a nice geocaching adventure.
