Geocache Description:

A multi-leg cache with a bit of a twist. At each leg, you will find coordinates to the next leg.

To celebrate Team Sprocket’s recent milestone of 101 caches found in one month, we are pleased to announce our first cache hidden. It is meant to be a bit of a challenge to your cache searching skills. Each of the clues is well disguised. Total driving distance to complete this hunt, from start to finish, is under 20 miles, provided you follow the same route we took. For the final leg, a short hike of less than 3/10ths of a mile is required. The trail is well established but may not always be obvious. Take your time, look around if you’re unsure, and you should have no problem following the trail. Throughout the entire hunt, there is no need to damage any native or landscaped plants or to traverse any known archaeological sites. There is no need to cross any fences, drive through any gates, or to obtain any special access permits. When approaching the final cache, you may need to do a small amount of “boulder hopping” but nothing dangerous. You do not need to scale any vertical surfaces. The only special equipment required is a GPS receiver (obviously), a sharp wit, a penchant for adventure and perhaps a sense of humor.

The cache itself is smaller than an ammo box, but larger than an altoids tin. It contains a camera. If you wish, take a photo of yourself and/or team and note the exposure number in your log entry. Please refrain from leaving worthless toys or matchbox cars. There is a small bag of first aid supplies, intended for use in the field. Please don’t remove it from the cache but feel free to use it if you need to. The rest of the original contents of the cache are as follows:

Clip-on compass
Engineer compass
Fish-shaped caribiner key ring
16-function Stainless Steel pocketknife
Tape measure
Molson Canadian key ring
“I Got a Big One” key ring
First aid kit
Log book

As with any cache hunt, be careful, use common sense and have fun.

(On-line ''FIND'' logs without a corresponding signature in the log book will be deleted.)

(Cache originally placed 11/05/2002)

Addendum: 4/30/03 - If you wish, feel free to e-mail me with your intent to attempt this hunt a day or two before you go. That way I can verify that no clues have gone missing.
