Come out on March 19th for the first Montour Trail cleanup for 2023. This month, we will be meeting at the Findlay Township Activity Center, which is located right on the Montour Trail. We will split up into 2 groups and walk in opposite directions to clean up this section section of trail. I figure we could probably walk in each direction for about mile or so, picking up any litter we find, and then meet back at the posted coordinates. I will bring some water and various other drinks with me, as well as some donuts and donut holes from Dunkin. I will provide the garbage bags and disposable gloves as well.
Last year when I had two cleanups along the trail at different spots and we removed a ton of garbage on those two sections. The weather for being late winter/early spring will most likely be cool and damp, so please come dressed appropriately. We will have this cleanup rain or shine. If there is a ton of snow on the ground, I will try to work with Keystone to get it moved out a couple of weeks from this date. But with the way our winter has been going this year, there is a pretty good chance we won't have any snow on the ground.
