Come on out and help me celebrate my 1,000th cache hide with a special After-BamaRama event! Hopefully you all will have cached your brains out and caught some Mardi Gras parades by this point, and want to just get together and relax after the sun goes down. If so, this event is for you!
Although I have adopted hides dating back to August of 2001, the very first cache I placed myself was GC67W7N Veteran Tributes #1 in Gulfport, Mississippi, on December 1, 2015. Since that time I have hidden caches (or hosted events) in 3 countries, 27 U.S. States, plus Washington, D.C. I hid my 605th Traditional Cache on February 8, 2023, and in addition to those, I've hidden or adopted 235 Mystery Caches, 40 Lab Caches (representing 7 Adventure Labs), 38 Letterbox Hybrids, 37 Multi Caches, 9 Virtual Caches, 7 EarthCaches, 1 Wherigo Cache, and I've hosted 28 events (22 Regular Events, 5 CITO's, and 1 Community Celebration Event).
Event has been moved to The2Lauras house and will include one of their famous bonfires to help celebrate my 1,000th cache hide!
I will have prizes to give out, as well as some special prizes for cachers that attend with statistics such as: Most Hides, Newest Cacher, Most Finds, Least Finds, Longest Distance Traveled, and a few more I'll come up with before the event.
We will have food and snacks, and feel free to bring any extra snacks and beverages of your choice. You don't have to bring anything to attend! You may also want to bring some fold-up chairs with you in case we run out of seating space. There is limited parking in the yard, plus extra parking along the road leading up to the house. If you know other cachers attending BamaRama, carpooling is a good option.
Please post a Will Attend log so I know how many people to expect!
