Etappe 3
Die 3. Etappe führt dich von Monschau an der Rur entlang nach Einruhr. Nach den ersten beiden leichteren Etappen folgt nun zum ersten Mal eine schwere Wanderung:  25 km, Aufstieg: 800 m, Abstieg: 900 m. Dafür ist sie aber auch zweifelsohne eine besonders abwechslungsreiche Etappe des Eifelsteigs: Mal führt ein Single Trail steil bergauf zur Teufelsley, dann wieder geht es entspannt an der Perlenbachtalsperre und der Rur entlang, bevor der nächste Aufstieg folgt, meist belohnt durch eine schöne Aussicht. Am Nationalparktor Höfen informiert eine Ausstellung über die Pflanzen- und Tierwelt im Nationalpark. Hier ist auch eine von zwei schönen Einkehrmöglichkeiten unterwegs (siehe Referenzpunkte).

Zwischen Einruhr und Monschau gibt es eine Busverbindung mit Umsteigen: Aachener Verkehrsverbund. Parkplätze und Bushaltestellen sind als zusätzliche Wegpunkte mit angegeben.

Stage 3
The 3rd stage takes you from Monschau along the Rur to Einruhr. After the first two easier stages, a difficult hike now follows for the first time: 25 km, ascent: 700 m, descent: 900 m. But it is  undoubtedly one of the most varied stages of the Eifelsteig: Sometimes a single trail leads steeply uphill to the Teufelsley, then again it goes relaxed along the Perlenbachtalsperre and the Rur, before the next climb follows, usually rewarded by a beautiful view. At the national park gate Höfen an exhibition informs about the flora and fauna in the national park. Between Einruhr and Monschau there is a bus connection with change: Aachener Verkehrsverbund. Parking facilities and bus stops are listed as additional waypoints.
