Geocache Description:

ITA

ENG

The church is annexed to the monastery of the Sacramentine nuns, built towards the end of the nineteenth century by the will of the noblewoman Antonietta Celesia De Ferrari, whose daughter, Teresa De Ferrari, had entered the monastery of the Perpetual Adorers of Monza. The monastery was built between 1884 and 1886 and Teresa De Ferrari (Maria Teresa of the Sacred Heart of Jesus) became its superior.

The complex was almost completely destroyed by bombing during the Second World War and the nuns found hospitality in the villa Campostano, in via San Luca d'Albaro, until the monastery was rebuilt.

Thanks to funding from Countess Campostano was also built, designed by the architect Crosa, a new church on the remains of the previous chapel, completed in 1958, in which the Blessed Sacrament is continuously exposed, to allow continuous adoration not only to the nuns, but also to the simple faithful
