Geocache Description:

This is a challenge cache. What does that mean?

A challenge cache requires seekers to find an associated physical cache, and to find an additional set of geocaches as defined by the challenge owner. Challenge caches encourage geocachers to set and achieve fun goals. Examples of challenge caches: find a cache every day of the calendar year, or find one for every Difficulty/Terrain combination. For this particular challenge you will need to satisfy the requirements detailed below.

The Cache

The physical geocache container is an easy find at the end of a road. The cache itself is a preform container. The terrain is reflected in this listing. The difficulty is based on meeting the challenge requirements.

The Challenge

We love hunting for caches from the first year of the game, the year 2000. These caches have stood the test of time and are a piece of history for our game. We hope to one day find all of the existing caches from the first year. In placing this challenge we hope to encourage others to go after these historic caches as well.

To satisfy the requirements of this challenge you will need to find twenty (20) geocaches published in the year 2000. Keep in mind that you can sign the log at any time and log your note online but you can only change that note to a smiley once you have met the requirements. Use the checker below to confirm you have met the requirements.

You do not have to post photos of the checker, we would much rather you post a photo from finding one or more of your favorite caches from the year 2000.
