One of the things I love most about Geocaching is the way it helps you discover things you never knew existed. It's amazing how often we drive right by so many interesting places and don't have a clue what we're missing. This place was one of those places when I first began caching. The original geocache was named "Visiting the Tindalls". You'll understand why when you get there. It has since been archived, but amazingly I found the original container still at home. I replaced it with one I hope will weather better, although the one I found was still dry and in good condition.
As you will see if you decide to grab this one, there are two headstones marking the final resting place of a young couple. There is not much information about them, only their names, Henry and Julia Tindall, and each one's date of death. The years were 1848 and 1853. I expect this area looked much differently then. The trees have since taken over what I believe was probably open ground then. At any rate, it is a very peaceful place and I hope you will be respectful as you visit their memorials.
