کراچی میں شری سوامی نارائن مندر ایک ہندو مندر ہے جو پاکستان کا واحد سوامی نارائن مندر ہے۔ یہ مندر کراچی شہر میں M. A. جناح روڈ پر 32,306 مربع گز (27,012 m2) سے زیادہ کے اپنے سائز اور سامنے کے لیے قابل ذکر ہے۔ مندر نے اپریل 2004 میں اپنی 216 سال کی سالگرہ منائی۔ اس مندر کے احاطے میں ایک مقدس گائے کا خانہ ہے۔ یہ مندر کراچی میں ایک ہندو محلے کے مرکز میں واقع ہے۔ وہ عمارت جس میں آنے والے عقیدت مندوں کے لیے ایک دھرم شالہ (گیسٹ ہاؤس) رکھا گیا تھا، اب اسے سٹی ڈسٹرکٹ گورنمنٹ کے دفتر میں تبدیل کر دیا گیا ہے۔
The Shri Swami Narayan Mandir in Karachi is a Hindu temple that is the only Swami Narayan temple in Pakistan. The temple is notable for its size and frontage, over 32,306 square yards (27,012 m2) on the M. A. Jinnah Road in Karachi city. The temple celebrated its anniversary of 216 years in April 2004. There is a sacred cowshed within the premises of this temple. The temple is located at the centre of a Hindu neighbourhood in Karachi. The building that housed a dharmshala (guest house) for visiting devotees has now been converted to the office of the City District Government.
Advide for Tourists!
The Mandir is a sacred house. Visitors must follow some rules.
Strict dress code: tops must cover the shoulders, chest, navel, and upper arms. Leg-wear must be at least below knee-length.
Shoes: Remove footwear upon entering and put your shoes into the shoe racks .
Security: Sharp, dangerous and incendiary objects and substances (e.g. knives, matches, lighters, etc.) are not allowed.
Bags & Cameras: Small (palm-sized) purses and wallets are allowed into the building. Cameras are not. You can deposit your bags and cameras in the baggage cabin in the car park.
Filming & Photography: Only via mobile phone, for personal use (no upload to internet), and only outside. Not inside.
Mobile Phones: please switch off.
Smoking, food and drink: not allowed.
Behaviour: don't touch anything and stay quiet.
Children (16 or younger): must be accompagnied by an adult.
Pets: not allowed.
