This cache is a film canister attached to a guardian with a water proof paper log to sign in on. If you find it wet just dry it off and sign in. Whan rolling the log up, after signing in, please do not roll it all the way so others can pull it out to sign in.There is no writing tool in the cache so you will have to bring your own writing tool along. At time of placing this group of caches there were no cross ditches and no pin striping and the road is doable in a normal car, if you can do the mainline there is no problem doing this road. The is Cougar anda Bear country so keep an eye on the 2 and 4 legged kids. While out, here for 3 hours, I only saw one vehicle so this is a good place to let the fur kids out to play.
I wanted to place caches out here for a long time now to do this loop as well as to honor a caching couple here in Port Alberni. Team Pawz have been caching here in the valley for a long time now and they were the inspiration for this loop, they will know why. This was the destination that I wanted to get to and to bring others to come and see. While placing this cache there were about 15 Canada Geese out on the lake and the frogs were singing up a storm, on the waters edge. This truly is a quiet little lake and I would think a good spot for some trout fishing. This spot is perfect to spend the night and to drop in the boat to try your hand at catching supper. I hope you enjoy this spot as much as I did.
