Geocache Description:

05 March 2023, 11:00 - 13:45

Meet in the car park for 10:30 am, if we aren't there you will meet us at the coordinates.

We will be clearing and sorting ash trees which will have been felled due to ash dieback. The area will be cleared - brash burnt, logs saves for habitat piles and the area replanted in the future with native species to restore the woodland and enhance natural regeneration in the area.

WARNING- we will be burning the wood and the fire will be hot. So be careful, I also recommend clothing you don't mind getting ruined because the ember can fly off the fire and land on you making holes in your clothes.

The ash trees will have been felled prior to the event, we will be cutting them smaller and burning brash.

Wolfleaze Coppicing - The Final Cut

A Cache In Trash Out event is a gathering of local geocachers or geocaching organizations that focuses on litter clean-up, removal of invasive species, revegetation efforts or trail building. Use a smartphone or GPS device to navigate to the provided coordinates on 2/12/2017 to attend the event.

If for any reason sufficient trees have not been felled, we will be coppicing in the same area, but the priority will be to clear the ash trees!

Thanks for all your help,

See you soon,
