Geocache Description:

  • Annie Forsyth Wyatt OBE (1885–1961) was an inspiring and pioneering woman of her times. Over 90 years ago, she campaigned and established the Ku-Ring-Gai Tree Lovers’ Civic League in 1927 for the conservation of the greenery that Ku-Ring-Gai still enjoys today.
  • She was the founder of the NSW National Trust in 1945 which was continued under the leadership of her son Ivor Wyatt. So many heritage buildings in Sydney were conserved due to their work.
  • The magnificent lemon-scented gum tree planted in 1930 is an impressive landmark here.
  • Enjoy sitting on a bench here whilst signing the log as the commuters travel to and from the station.
